Select option 1 - Head Office Stock Control
Select option 1 - Stock File Maintenance
Select option 1 - Add A Stock Item
Stock Code - Create a new stock code as required - a normal sequence may be
similar to the following ----- 1865615HXT4 (Size/Speed Rating/Pattern) you may
wish to add a code for the manufacturer i.e. 1856515HMIXT4 - MI for Michelin)
There are 2 description fields, the first has 32 characters and the second has
48. If the second field is used the additional information is only displayed on
customer receipts not on the screen.
The new stock code needs associating to the relevant groupings - use the <F4>
window to display the options available, do this for class, category, make and
size.
The VAT code will default to code 1 which is for 17.5% you only need to amend
this if the new code varies from this.
